Car Rollover

You drive a car.  You think you’re protected as long as you wear your seatbelt, even if the car rolls over.  Not so.  A new study shows that many of the thousands of annual deaths of occupants of cars in motor vehicle accidents around the country and in New York’s Brooklyn, Queens and Bronx could have been avoided if their car's roof was manufactured properly.

Also, the more headroom, so that the car’s occupants were further away from the car roof, the less the chance of serious personal injury in a car roof collapse accident.  And while shared this information with car makers and tried to make its cars safer in the event of a car roof crush accident, not all car manufacturers have followed Volvo’s example.

Cost cutting by “under engineering” car roofs has led to an increase in injuries and deaths from SUV accidents, truck accidents, bus accidents, and car accidents.   Simply put, stronger, more solid car roofs save lives.
